1. Waterproof Bluetooth Speaker
A lot of people recommend FLOATING Bluetooth speakers as one of the best spa accessories. And I think they suck. All floating speakers sound bad.
I’m a bit of an audio nerd, and for my money, I’d invest in a Bluetooth speaker that can be used anywhere (including near your hot tub). My favorite speaker is the Bose Soundlink, which is waterproof and affordable. Plus, it has the best sound for a portable wireless speaker.
This portable Bluetooth speaker delivers immersive audio with advanced technology, automatically optimizing sound in any environment. Waterproof, durable, and featuring a 12-hour battery life, it's ideal for outdoor use.
2. Steps with Chemical Storage
If you’re going to invest in steps for your hot tub, you could use that space for storage. I love these Confer steps. They’re super durable and wide, perfect for lots of hidden chemical storage.
This outdoor-friendly step requires some assembly upon arrival and features a weather-proof, UV-resistant design. It includes a convenient hidden storage compartment within the top step, perfect for hot tub access.
3. Quick Drying Outdoor Rug
When you get out of the hot tub, you don’t want to slip. So, I recommend this quick-drying bath mat. It’s super absorbent and anti-slip.
It’s not made specifically for hot tubs, but it’ll do the trick. Plus, when you’re not using your hot tub, you can use it anywhere.
This diatomaceous earth bath mat is a soft, fast-absorbing rug that dries quickly, perfect for stepping out of showers, baths, or hot tubs. It's dirt-resistant, durable with a non-shedding faux suede surface, anti-slip, easy to clean, and versatile.
4. Automatic Hot Tub Cover Lift
Over time, hot tub covers become heavy from being waterlogged, and this is the biggest complaint I hear from hot tub owners.
Our guide discusses three levels of spa cover lifts: manual, hydraulic, and automatic. If you want a deeper dive, go check it out.
But for this article, I want to highlight an automatic cover lifter that comes with built-in privacy. You can order one from a Covana dealer here. Check this beast out. 👇
Covana does not sponsor us. I always see these at the pool and spa trade shows, and they look fantastic.
5. A Towel Warmer
If you really want to feel like you’re relaxing in a 5-star hotel hot tub, get yourself a towel warmer. It’ll change your life! This is my favorite one.
This ultra-large insulated bucket can warm up to two oversized bath towels or robes, featuring four timer settings for 15, 30, 45, or 60 minutes with automatic shut-off. Its efficient design ensures even heating without cold spots and includes built-in cord storage and natural bamboo accents for indoor use.
NOTE: I see a lot of people recommending a towel rack or towel holder near your hot tub. And while this is convenient, it doesn’t make your hot tubing experience any better. But a warm towel will. Trust me!
6. Snow Melting Mats
The Hot Tub Lady recommends installing snow-melting mats if you live in an area that gets really cold. Now, you won’t have to shovel your way to the hot tub. I love this!
They melt 2 inches of snow per hour. With easy installation, customizable lengths up to 50 feet, and waterproof grommet screws, these heaters ensure no more risky roof shoveling.
7. Hot Tub Handrail
What I love most about this particular handrail is you don’t have to drill into your hot tub to install it. There’s a base that slides underneath the tub to give the handrail support, so it’s not a permanent install.
8. Booster Seat
If you’re on the shorter side or you have kids, this is the perfect booster seat for your hot tub. I’ve sold booster seats that were inflatable and terrible in the past. This one is solid, washable, weighted, and perfect.
This 100% polyester cushion features an ergonomic U-shaped design for comfortable, long-duration seating. Its 3D air mesh weaving technology ensures breathability and quick drying, with a skin-friendly, durable cover that resists deformation.
9. Waterproof Outdoor TV
I don’t own a weatherproof TV. When I relax in a hot tub, I like listening to music or silence. But Popular Mechanics rated this TV as the best for near your pool:
This outdoor LCD TV offers ultra-high brightness, ideal for all outdoor scenarios. It's durable enough for years of outdoor use without aging or fading. It's waterproof and can withstand various weather conditions.
If you want to save a bit of money and use a cheaper flat-screen TV outside, try this weatherproof TV cover.
This TV enclosure offers robust protection with its waterproof, impact-resistant, and UV-resistant design.
10. Fast Absorbing Towels
Drying off fast after hot tubbing is crucial, especially when it’s cold out. I recommend investing in a few fast-absorbing bath towels from Amazon. Here are my favorite ones. 👇
Obviously, these towels are also great for any use, including after using the swimming pool, shower, or bath.
11. Cantilever Umbrella
If your hot tub is always in direct sunlight, it can be hard to soak comfortably during the day. I live in Colorado, where it’s sunny 300 days a year. And my hot tub area is in direct sunlight for about 6 hours a day.
I recently bought this Cantilever Umbrella from Midtown and filled the base with water. It was one of the best investments I made this year and a must-have.
12. Spa Fragrances and Aromatherapy
Add these to the water for a relaxing and enjoyable spa experience to help you unwind. But make sure they are specifically designed for an outdoor hot tub or
swim spa to avoid damage to the water balance and other components.
I like the ones made by inSPAration. They’ve been around for a long time, and they have a ton of scents to choose from.
Discover an amazing variety of water-soluble fragrances, each blended with skin-soothing natural extracts, in this collection of different scent pods.
